OH YEAH!?!?!?

I can't believe I forgot Aidan's B-Day party that was before all the other B-Day parties. Since my niece and nephew; Michael and Alexis; always go to their Dad's house for the summer, they usually miss Aidan's birthday party. My quick witted sister, Michelle, came up with an idea to please all the kids. We went out for dinner at the Red Elephant...it was so yummy!!! Then we took off to Toys R Us for some shopping. Aunt Shell gave Aidan a spending limit, so we went all around the store trying to find the perfect birthday gift. He ended up picking out these cool batman wings that pop out when you need them. They are awesome!!! Thanks

Catching Up!!!

Hi Everyone
I'm kinda stuck in one place for a while so I figured I'd write about all that is going on in the Patel/Mitchell Household.
WOW!!! School is already out... Aidan is having a blast not having to get up and go anywhere.(Good thing, since I've felt so sick here lately... more on that later.)

We had Aidan's sixth birthday party for the third time last weekend on June 13th. His actual birthday was Monday, June 8th, so on that day we made him his favorite dinner... BBQ in the crockpot and red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. We had his best buddy Alan and his family over for dinner to celebrate. We also let him have his big birthday gift this day. He got "Rock Band 2" for the wii. His birthday party was going to be at "Pump it Up" so Ketan and I decided it would be a lot easier to give him this gift before the party, that way we didn't have to carry it back and forth. And also, we wouldn't have to set it up with the millions of kids that were here after the party.

"Pump it Up" was soooo much fun!!! I love that the kids get to run, jump, laugh, and be crazy!!! You get your own party room, so you don't have to share all the inflateables!!! The wonderful staff there does everything for you... fix the drinks, fix the pizza, cut the cake and pass it out, hand them their presents, and write it all down for thank you notes later!!! They even have it to where you can buy the goodie bags from them, pre-assembled!!! You really don't end up spending much more than a home birthday, if you go all out like me. The added benefit is no clean-up!!! Since I've been so sick latley, I just didn't think I could do it all at home like I usually do. Ohhh... Jeanie made him a beautiful baseball birthday cake!!! It was soooo yummy. I can't thank her enough for these yummy cakes.

After "Pump it up" we had a grill out at our house for everyone. My Mom was down from B'Ham with my nephews and niece; Austin, Jacob, and Caitlyn. My Sister Michelle, her husband JR, and my nephew Conner were here. Unfortunately, Michael and Alexis are always at their Dads houses in the summer so they couldn't be there. My Grandmother was also down from B'Ham staying at her fiance`s house in Navarre. My Cousin Jennifer, her fiance` Steve and her son Caleb were down also. Of course the Saucer's (Amy, Daniel, Alan, Eddie, Joey, and Grandma Judy) were over too!!! Definitely a full house!!! We just had hotdogs and hamburgers, but they sure were good!!!

Well... on to my tummy. I've been having a lot of abdominal pain latley. About a month ago I had to go to the ER it got so bad. They started with an ultrasound of my abdomen wich was all okay except my spleen. (I had mono as a child, so my spleen is scarred over). I went to see a surgeon and he ordered a stress test on my gallbladder... it was okay too =( He told me he felt sure it was my gallbladder but with the tests coming back okay I had to go see a gastroenterologist and rule out any problems there. I went on to have an endoscopy, CT of my abdomen, and a capsule endoscopy... a pill camera that you swallow to look at your small intestines. I had a pretty good amount of gastritis, but Dr. Albibi did not think that it was causing the pain. He sent me back to the surgeon with his reccomendation to have my gallbladder out. I had the surgery yesterday, and I am doing pretty good. I hope and pray that this is the fix for my stomach... I've had stomach problems for well over 10 years, so needless to say I'm really tierd of dealing with them.

Hope all is well with your families, and I hope I can do a little better to update this.
