Help Me Understand!!!

It's 3am, and I'm trying to post some of the cutest digital scrapbook pages I made and I can't figure it out... Sometimes I think I should just throw technology to the wind because I can NEVER get anything accomplished with it like I want it to be... (You have to take in account my personality, I want everthing yesterday and I want my brain to be able to use the stuff when I get it!!!)

Sighhhh... I guess I'll have to quit acting like a man (thinking he can do anything without instruction) and watch some tutorials on how to use this thing.

Maybe my next post will include some awesome page layouts!!!

TISNF!!! Why can other people do it, but not me!!!!! SO FRUSTRATING

So long from eLand,

Missy

Okay, I get it, I'm not a great blogger!!! Sorry to those who expect more of me. But for some unknown reason Facebook has sucked me into their trap, and I don't even play any of the games. It's cool to be able to find and chat with old friends. Maybe I can devote some of that time to my blog. So what's up with me you say???
MOVING... AND IT SUCKS!!! I hate to pack... I guess my spring cleaning came a little late this year... But boy am I going through everything and tossing out old or broken, and donating the stuff that is useable!!!
Schools back in session... YEAH
Aidan has an awesome teacher... He is doing great... ( I am truely blessed to have such a smart, talented, delightful children!!!) Thanks be to God
Emily goes for orientation at Little Lambs (LHUMC) on this Wednesday, then she will start school on the following Wednesday. Only 3 days a week, 3 hours each day. She loved Little Lambs last year, so I'm sure she will have a great year again!!!

Yipee... Mommy get some me time!!!

Hope all is well in eLand... until next time

OH YEAH!?!?!?

I can't believe I forgot Aidan's B-Day party that was before all the other B-Day parties. Since my niece and nephew; Michael and Alexis; always go to their Dad's house for the summer, they usually miss Aidan's birthday party. My quick witted sister, Michelle, came up with an idea to please all the kids. We went out for dinner at the Red Elephant...it was so yummy!!! Then we took off to Toys R Us for some shopping. Aunt Shell gave Aidan a spending limit, so we went all around the store trying to find the perfect birthday gift. He ended up picking out these cool batman wings that pop out when you need them. They are awesome!!! Thanks

Catching Up!!!

Hi Everyone
I'm kinda stuck in one place for a while so I figured I'd write about all that is going on in the Patel/Mitchell Household.
WOW!!! School is already out... Aidan is having a blast not having to get up and go anywhere.(Good thing, since I've felt so sick here lately... more on that later.)

We had Aidan's sixth birthday party for the third time last weekend on June 13th. His actual birthday was Monday, June 8th, so on that day we made him his favorite dinner... BBQ in the crockpot and red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. We had his best buddy Alan and his family over for dinner to celebrate. We also let him have his big birthday gift this day. He got "Rock Band 2" for the wii. His birthday party was going to be at "Pump it Up" so Ketan and I decided it would be a lot easier to give him this gift before the party, that way we didn't have to carry it back and forth. And also, we wouldn't have to set it up with the millions of kids that were here after the party.

"Pump it Up" was soooo much fun!!! I love that the kids get to run, jump, laugh, and be crazy!!! You get your own party room, so you don't have to share all the inflateables!!! The wonderful staff there does everything for you... fix the drinks, fix the pizza, cut the cake and pass it out, hand them their presents, and write it all down for thank you notes later!!! They even have it to where you can buy the goodie bags from them, pre-assembled!!! You really don't end up spending much more than a home birthday, if you go all out like me. The added benefit is no clean-up!!! Since I've been so sick latley, I just didn't think I could do it all at home like I usually do. Ohhh... Jeanie made him a beautiful baseball birthday cake!!! It was soooo yummy. I can't thank her enough for these yummy cakes.

After "Pump it up" we had a grill out at our house for everyone. My Mom was down from B'Ham with my nephews and niece; Austin, Jacob, and Caitlyn. My Sister Michelle, her husband JR, and my nephew Conner were here. Unfortunately, Michael and Alexis are always at their Dads houses in the summer so they couldn't be there. My Grandmother was also down from B'Ham staying at her fiance`s house in Navarre. My Cousin Jennifer, her fiance` Steve and her son Caleb were down also. Of course the Saucer's (Amy, Daniel, Alan, Eddie, Joey, and Grandma Judy) were over too!!! Definitely a full house!!! We just had hotdogs and hamburgers, but they sure were good!!!

Well... on to my tummy. I've been having a lot of abdominal pain latley. About a month ago I had to go to the ER it got so bad. They started with an ultrasound of my abdomen wich was all okay except my spleen. (I had mono as a child, so my spleen is scarred over). I went to see a surgeon and he ordered a stress test on my gallbladder... it was okay too =( He told me he felt sure it was my gallbladder but with the tests coming back okay I had to go see a gastroenterologist and rule out any problems there. I went on to have an endoscopy, CT of my abdomen, and a capsule endoscopy... a pill camera that you swallow to look at your small intestines. I had a pretty good amount of gastritis, but Dr. Albibi did not think that it was causing the pain. He sent me back to the surgeon with his reccomendation to have my gallbladder out. I had the surgery yesterday, and I am doing pretty good. I hope and pray that this is the fix for my stomach... I've had stomach problems for well over 10 years, so needless to say I'm really tierd of dealing with them.

Hope all is well with your families, and I hope I can do a little better to update this.

Emily's 2nd Birthday

Wow!!! I cannot believe that Emily just had her second birthday!!! Eveyone who asked me how old she was going to be, I said one!!! HA... ONE. Then I would correct myself and say she was turning two. Time sure does fly by when you're having fun!!!

She had a great birthday!!! I made the invite card, but couldn't do all the coordination of it in her party because I only had one day to get the party ready!!! (Stupid Flu and Strep Throat)
So we ended up with Hello Kitty... which was very cute.
Jeanie made the cake... it was sooo yummy.... I'll take a Jeanie cake any day of the week!!!
Emily was very happy to see all her friends to celebrate her birthday!!!

Since the party she keeps going around the house singing "happy bday me" I love it when kids are figuring out songs. They always leave some words out, but still get the melody in there.

Hi All

This is my first attempt at blogging... so bear with me!!!

All is well in the Patel/Mitchell household. Christmas was great!!!

Aidan was very excited about all the presents Santa brought him.

He is in Kindergarten... He is doing a great job!!! He seems to love school and his teacher. Luckily, he is involved in a revolving program at school. He will go to the first grade teacher that is connected to his classroom; and then he will be on to the second grade teacher that is down the hall... All of these teachers do everthing together, so he will know his next teachers well before he goes to their classroom.

At Christmas, Emily loved the paper and boxes... go figure!!! I could have saved a lot of money; but one day she will appreciate it. Then she would not play with her toys... only her brothers!!!

That caused a lot of tension that day!!!

Emily is starting to potty train. YEAH!!! Maybe I can get it done by her Birthday on March 1st.

We just got back from Birmingham visiting family. Mom seems to be doing well, but she works way too much!!!

Apparently I broke one of the little bones (second metatarsal) in my foot last March. I wore a boot cast for about two weeks after the injury... but the pain just wouldn't go away. I went to see an orthopaedic specialist in Birmingham... He told me it was a stress fracture that had not healed properly. Now I am in a walking boot for TWO MONTHS!!! That sucks... but if my foot gets better I guess it's worth it.

Lisa, Brandon, Austin 13, Jacob 7, and Caitlyn 4, are all doing well.

Austin is in middle school at Bragg Junior High. He likes it pretty well, but I think he likes the socilization more than anything!!!

Jacob, well Jacob is such a great kid!!! He hardly ever gets into trouble... he is pretty much always good. He will be in the 2nd grade next year (man I'm getting old!!!). He is learing new things all the time. He is doing a great job of reading... I don't think I had to help him with reading a single thing the whole time I was up there.

Caitlyn is getting ready to go to kindergarten... she is so obsessed with Barbie The Diamond Castle and My Little Pony... Ponyville. She is so beautiful and has the most gorgeous hair in the world!!! She is growing up so fast... it's hard to believe she will be in kindergarten!!!

Michelle, JR, Connor 13, Michael 11, and Alexis 7, are great.

You should visit Michelle's blog at eickblog.blogspot.com

JR just retired from the Army Reserves. The ceremony was at the Naval Air Muesem in Pensacola, Florida. It was a beautiful ceremony!!! I know he is glad to not have to go to reserves all the time.

All the family came over for Christmas dinner. We have a new tradition of steak and potatoes for dinner. It was so good, and so much eaiser than the huge spread!!! We really enjoyed having Michelle, JR, and the kids over!!! We hope to do it again soon.

Connor and Michael are all into the Wii... especilally Rock Band!!!

They both are doing well in school.

Alexis is being Alexis... She is very active. She loves to visit her family in New Port Richey, Florida. She wants to start a band, so Mom got her a guitar for christmas. I'm sure that will drive her parents crazy... as the electric guitar and amp Ketan decided to get Aidan will drive me crazy!!! I hate noise!!!
